Rory Mullen is an Assistant Professor of Finance at Warwick Business School, University of Warwick. His research interests span macro-finance, international finance, and technology. In his applied theory work, he develops dynamic stochastic general equilibrium models with heterogeneous agents. In recent empirical work, he has used natural language processing and machine learning techniques to study large-scale textual datasets of patent and business descriptions. He also studies foreign exchange markets and central bank interventions, examining how monetary policy transmits through financial markets. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Washington and is originally from Seattle, Washington.
