Sebastian is an Assistant Professor at the University of Melbourne and a Research Affiliate at CESifo. His research primarily delves into the decarbonization of the transport sector, encompassing two core areas: (1) the investigation of factors influencing electric vehicle (EV) adoption and (2) the assessment of policies facilitating the transition to low-emission transportation. His current research is specifically centered on designing congestion charges and charging infrastructure, social interactions in EV adoption, EV weight dynamics, the fuel efficiency of heavy-duty vehicles, and targeting EV subsidies.
