Tiago Cavalcanti is a Professor of Economics at the University of Cambridge and a Fellow of Trinity College. He also holds a visiting position at the São Paulo School of Economics at the Fundação Getulio Vargas. His research focuses on macroeconomics, economic development, and climate change, particularly on how individuals and firms respond to policies and shocks, and the resulting macroeconomic implications. In addition to his academic contributions in leading economic journals, he writes a monthly column for the Brazilian newspaper Valor Econômico.
