Tigran Poghosyan

Economist at International Monetary Fund

Tigran Poghosyan is an Economist at the IMF. He is a recipient of grants and awards from the Global Development Network (GDN), Economic Education and Research Consortium (EERC), William Davidson Institute at the University of Michigan (WDI), and German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). In 2007, Tigran was a Visiting Researcher at the Research Department of Deutsche Bundesbank, where he was analysing the relationship between real estate prices and bank stability in Germany. During 1999-2003, he worked in the Monetary Policy Department at the Central Bank of Armenia, where he was involved in the design and implementation of the macroeconomic adjustment program (financial programming) as a Monetary Sector Specialist. Tigran has obtained his PhDs in Economics from CERGE-EI and from the University of Groningen.
