Yu-chin Chen

Yu-chin Chen is an Assistant Professor in Economics at the University of Washington. She received an A.B. in physics, a Masters in Public Policy, and a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University. She has worked as a Staff Economist at the Council of Economic Advisers under the Clinton administration, and has been a Visiting Researcher at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, the Federal Reserve Systems, and Academia Sinica in Taiwan. Her research interests cover the empirics of exchange rate determination, monetary policy under adaptive learning, foreign aid and income distribution, among other open economy macroeconomics topics.
