Zhan Li, Postdoctoral Researcher in Economics, National School of Development, Peking University, China. His current research interests are focused on economic growth, macroeconomic measurement, and productivity issues in China. He has, for the first time, constructed a provincial KLEMS database that covers all 31 provinces of mainland China and 37 industries in each province, which is an important extension of the China Industry Productivity (CIP) database and also a powerful database for analyzing productivity at the provincial level. Furthermore, he integrates provincial productivity accounts into the national account, which is helpful in analyzing aggregate economic problems from sub-aggregate levels.
