Bing Xu

Bing Xu is a PhD candidate in economics at University of Carlos III in Madrid, and holds a Master’s degree in financial economics from University of Durham. His current research focuses on the measurement of bank competition, legal institutions and bank behavior, and loan contracts, with a particular interest for the Chinese banking market. He worked for Bank of Spain and took a visiting position in Hong Kong Institute for Monetary Research and Bank of Finland. He has been collaborating with Bank for International Settlements, Bank of Spain, Hong Kong Institute for Monetary Research, and International Monetary Fund in several joint research projects. His research has been presented to a wide variety of academic audiences and policy makers.
