Adrian van Rixtel

Head of International Financial Analysis at Bank Of Spain

Adrian van Rixtel is Head of International Financial Analysis at the Bank of Spain. He also held positions at the Netherlands Central Bank, the European Central Bank, the Bank for International Settlements and private financial institutions in Amsterdam and London.Adrian took his MA at Tilburg University and his Ph.D. at the Tinbergen Institute, Free University Amsterdam. He was Visiting Scholar at the Japanese Ministry of Finance, Visiting Researcher at the Bank of Japan and Visiting Associate Professor at Hitotsubashi University. Adrian has taught at CUNEF and IE business schools in Madrid. He has published in a wide range of journals and books. His publications include Informality and monetary policy in Japan: The political economy of bank performance, published with Cambridge University Press. His research has been discussed in The Economist and Wall Street Journal.
