Birthe Larsen

Associate Professor of Economics at Copenhagen Business School

Birthe Larsen is an Associate Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics at Copenhagen Business School. She hold a master of Economics from London School of Economics and received her PhD from University of Copenhagen in 1999. Her research is both theorical using search and matching theory as well as empirical and it mainly focuses on unemployment, race discrimination, the black economy, education, health, the environment and inequality. Her work has for example appeared in European Economic Review, Scandinavian Journal of Economics and Journal of Environmental Economics and Management. She initiated the Copenhagen Education Network, CEN and is the Academic Director of the Inequality platform at Copenhagen Business School.
