Carmine Ornaghi is Professor of Economics at the University of Southampton. He earned his PhD from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid in 2004. His research interests lie in the field of empirical industrial organization, in particular the pharmaceutical sector and the water industry. His papers have been published in leading scientific journals, including Energy Economics, Journal of Applied Econometrics, the International Journal of Industrial Organization and the Journal of Health Economics. His research has been funded by the ESRC and the British Academy. He has work as consultant for Directorate-General for Competition (DG Comp) on topics related to Mergers and Innovation.
