Fabio Massimo Piersanti works as an Economist at the Directorate General for Economics, Statistics and Research of the Bank of Italy. He earned a PhD in economics from the university of Milano—Bicocca and previously served the Directorate General for Economics of the European Central Bank focussing on the estimation of structural macroeconomic models for forecasting purposes. His research interests include theoretical, as well as empirical, aspects of macroeconomics, banking and finance.
