Kimberley Scharf is a public economist with a special expertise in the area of government finance as pertains to tax and spending policies. She also writes on the economics of the third sector, international competitiveness, tax competition, tax evasion/avoidance, social networks, and the digital economy.
Her research not only spans several fields in economics (political economy, public choice, international trade and finance, industrial organisation), but it also bridges to other disciplines in which research synergies can be mutually explored (e.g. neuropsychology, marketing sciences, decision sciences).
