
Oleksandr Talavera is a Professor of Financial Economics at the Department of Economics, University of Birmingham. Prior to joining the University of Birmingham, he held academic positions at Swansea University, University of Sheffield, Durham University, University of East Anglia, and Robert Gordon University. His research spans a range of empirical economics areas, including empirical corporate finance, online pricing, big data analytics, central bank communication, and emerging market economies. Professor Talavera has published his work in both general interest journals, such as the American Economic Review, Journal of the European Economic Association, and European Economic Review, as well as in leading field journals, including the Journal of Econometrics, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of International Money and Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, and Real Estate Economics.
