Liam Brunt is Assistant Professor of Economics at HEC-Lausanne. He was educated at Nuffield College in Oxford, where he earned an M.Phil and a Ph.D. His research analyzes the development and performance in the world economy in the very long run, especially the roles of institutions and new technology.
