Maia Güell is Professor of Economics at CUNEF Universidad and the University of Edinburgh, a Research Fellow at CEPR, FEDEA and IZA. She is the Data Editor at JEEA. She obtained her PhD from the London School in Economics. Her main research area is applied labour economics and her interests include the effect of firing costs on labour market outcomes, the determinants of gender gaps in unemployment and participation rates, the effects school choice mechanisms on choice and outcomes, and trends in intergenerational mobility.
