Marianne Simonsen is a Professor of Economics at Aarhus University, a Research Fellow at the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA) in Bonn, and affiliated with TrygFonden s Centre for Child Research. Since 2014 she has been Associate Editor at Empirical Economics and she currently acts as Guest Editor at Labour Economics. Her research interests lie primarily within the areas of labor economics, education economics, and health economics. Simonsen holds a PhD from Aarhus University from 2005.
