Martin Weale is Professor of Economics at King's College, London. He was previously an external member of the Monetary Policy Committee. He has researched a large number of aspects of applied economics at both macro and micro-economic levels. He has published his work in many books and journals, including the Economic Journal, the Journal of the Royal Statistical Society, the Journal of Business Economics and Statistics, the Journal of Public Economics, the Review of Economic Studies and the Review of Economics and Statistics.
