Melanie Wasserman began as an Assistant Professor at the UCLA Anderson School of Management in Fall 2016. Her research examines the mechanisms underlying gender differences in labour market, educational and occupational outcomes. She was a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship recipient and a pre-doctoral fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research Center for Aging and Health Research. She received a B.A. in economics from UC Berkeley and a PhD in Economics from MIT.
