Michele Mancini

Michele Mancini is Deputy Head of the Emerging Economies and World Trade Division at the Directorate General for Economics, Statistics and Research of the Bank of Italy. He previously worked as Senior Economist at the ECB. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Sapienza University of Rome. His research focuses on international trade, primarily on countries’ and firms’ integration in global value chains. He has also worked on the effects of FDI on firm performance, the political economy of economic integration, the modelling and forecasting of international trade.
