Monika Piazzesi, the Joan Kenny Professor of Economics has been elected as Vice President of the American Finance Association. Her research focuses on asset pricing and time series econometrics, especially related to bond markets and the term structure of interest rates. In addition to her faculty appointment at Stanford University, she is director of the Asset Pricing Group at the National Bureau of Economic Research and a Guggenheim Fellow for the 2015-2016 year. Prior to joining the Stanford faculty, Piazzesi taught at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
