Nils D. Steiner

Nils D. Steiner is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Political Science at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. He received his PhD in Political Science from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and previously worked as an interim professor at the University of Bamberg (Political Sociology) and at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (Comparative Politics). His main research interests are comparative politics, political attitudes and behavior, and political economy. Nils Steiner’s recent research has focused on populist attitudes and voting, the changing structure of political competition, and the impact of globalization on politics at the national level.
