Plamen Iossifov

Plamen Iossifov is a Deputy Division Chief in the Debt Policy Division of the IMF's Strategy and Policy Review Department. Over the past 2+ years, he has been helping countries navigate heightened debt vulnerabilities and coordinated the work on public debt transparency. Plamen has extensive operational experience in country surveillance and with Fund programs. He has also worked extensively on cross-country issues at the IMF and on external assignment at the European Central Bank. He obtained his M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Delaware, USA.
