Richard Varghese is an economist in the IMF’s European Department, where he co-authors the Regional Economic Outlook for Europe and contributes to analytical projects. He was also part of the Article IV consultation with Luxembourg. His main areas of research interest are transmission of macroeconomic policies and macro-financial linkages. He holds a PhD in economics from the Graduate Institute in Geneva.
