Silvia is a Visiting Scholar at The George Washington University since 2024. From 2000 to 2024, she served in several roles and departments at the International Monetary Fund. She also held research positions at the European Central Bank, De Nederlandsche Bank, and the ESRC Macroeconomic Modelling Bureau. Her interests and publications focus on topics related to international economics and finance, monetary and fiscal policy - including sovereign risk analysis, capital flows management, and role of digital assets. Silvia holds a M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Warwick and a Ph.D. in economics and innovation management from the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies.
