Stavros Poupakis is a Lecturer in Economics at the Institute for Global Health, University College London. His research focuses on health economics. He studies child development and health inequalities during childhood and takes an interest in policy evaluation aimed at reducing inequality and improving children's development. In a related research agenda, he studies the effects of globalization through its impact on trade and politics across both developing and developed countries. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Essex. Before joining UCL IGH, he held research positions at the University of Oxford and the Department of Economics at UCL.
