Stefano Lombardi is senior reseacher at the VATT Institute for Economic Research, Helsinki. He holds a doctoral degree from Uppsala University and IFAU, Uppsala (Institute for Evaluation of Labour Market and Education Policy).
Stefano has specialized in analysing national-level reforms by using individual-level, population-wide registers. His fields of study are labor economics and health economics, with particular focus on the sources of income and health inequality, the functioning of unemployment insurance systems, the effectiveness of active labor market policies, and the role of firms in the context of wage inequality.
