Tzur Karelitz

Dr. Tzur Karelitz is the Deputy Director and Head of Research & Development Division at the National Institute for Testing and Evaluation (NITE) in Jerusalem. He supervises NITE’s Research unit, Program Evaluation unit and Natural Language Processing unit, and serves as the Chief Psychometrician of the Data Processing, Analysis, and Reporting unit for the National Authority for Measurement and Evaluation in Education (RAMA). Dr Karelitz earned his PhD in Quantitative Psychology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He conducted research at the Berkeley Evaluation and Assessment Research (BEAR) center in California, at Tufts University, and the Education Development Center (EDC) in Massachusetts. Previously, Dr Karelitz taught courses in educational measurement at Boston College, and currently he is teaching at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
