Adam Sacarny

Assistant Professor, Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University

Adam Sacarny is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Mailman School of Public Health. He is also a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research and an Affiliate of the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL). His research explores the relationship between health care payment policy, provider and patient decision-making, and clinical quality. Much of this work involves using randomized controlled trials to test interventions in the health care delivery system. He received his PhD in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
