Christian Ochsner

Economist at German Council of Economic Experts

Christian Ochsner is an empirical macroeconomist on the scientific staff of the German Council of Economic Experts since July 2022. Previously, he worked at Deutsche Bundesbank and at the Chair of Empirical International Economics at the University of Göttingen. From 2012 to 2022, he studied philosophy, economics, political science, and history at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, the Universitat de Barcelona, and the Universiteit Gent. He received his PhD in 2022 with a dissertation on economic forecasting and global financial markets.
