Georg Strasser is Economist in the Monetary Policy Research Division of the European Central Bank. Earlier, he worked as assistant professor of economics at Boston College and as management consultant. His research covers information and market efficiency, international finance, and monetary policy transmission. It has been published by the Journal of International Economics, the Journal of Monetary Economics, the Review of Economic Studies, and others. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the University of Karlsruhe.
