Steffen Elstner works as an economist for the German Supreme Audit Institution. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Munich. His research interests are mainly in macroeconomics, with a focus on uncertainty, productivity and business cycles. He has published among others in the Journal of Monetary Economics, American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics and the European Economic Review.
