Sushant Acharya is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Melbourne since September 2024. He was previously a Senior Research Advisor at the Bank of Canada , and a Senior Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. His current research focuses on macroeconomic policy in the presence of household heterogeneity. His work has been published in the American Economic Review, Econometrica, AEJ: Macroeconomics, Journal of Economic Theory, Economic Journal, Journal of the European Economic Association, Journal of International Economics and the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking
