Since September 2024, Alexander Ludwig is professor of Economics at European University Institute (EUI) and on leave from his Chair of Public Finance and Macroeconomic Dynamics at Goethe University Frankfurt. Prior to joining Goethe University in 2014 he was Professor of Macroeconomics at University of Cologne (since 2009). He received his Ph.D. from the University of Mannheim in 2005.
