Carlos Mulas-Granados is Deputy Chief of the Strategy Unit at the International Monetary Fund. Previously he worked in the Fiscal Affairs and the European Departments. He is a former Professor of Applied Economics at Complutense University whose articles have appeared in renowned journals such as Economic Policy, Journal of International Money and Finance, Public Choice, European Journal of Political Economy, Research Policy, and the British Medical Journal. Mr. Mulas-Granados also served as the Deputy Director of the Spanish Prime Minister's Economic Office. He holds a Master’s degree from Columbia University, a PhD from Cambridge University and a European Doctor degree from Complutense University.
