Giovanni Prarolo is a Professor at the University of Bologna, Italy. He holds a MA in engineering from Polytechnic University of Milan and a PhD in economics from University of Bologna. He has been a visiting PhD student at Brown University and is a Research Fellow at Centro Studi Luca D Agliano. His research interests focus on political economy, cultural diversity, institutions, and long term development. His current research focuses on the coevolution of culture and institution in the long run, on the drivers of international migration and on the socio-economic determinants of voting at the micro level.
