Ralph De Haas

Ralph De Haas, a Dutch national, is the Director of Research at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London. He is also a part-time Professor of Finance at KU Leuven, a CEPR research fellow, a fellow at the European Banking Center, and a research associate at the ZEW–Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research. Ralph completed his Ph.D. in Economics at Utrecht University and received the 2014 Willem F. Duisenberg Fellowship Prize. He has published in the Journal of Financial Economics; Review of Financial Studies; Review of Finance; Journal of International Economics, American Economic Journal: Applied Economics; the Journal of the European Economic Association, the Economic Journal, the Journal of Economic Growth and other peer-reviewed outlets. Ralph's research lies at the intersection of empirical banking, sustainable finance, and development economics.
