Romain Duval is the Head of the Structural Reforms Unit and an Advisor to the Chief Economist in the IMF Research Department. Previously he was the Division Chief for Regional Studies of the IMF Asia Pacific Department and, prior to joining the Fund, the Division Chief for Structural Surveillance at the OECD Economics Department. His research interests include the economics of labor and product market regulation, growth, the political economy of reforms, business cycles, trade, monetary policy, equilibrium real exchange rates, and climate change mitigation.
