Luis Brandao-Marques is a Deputy-Dvision Chief at the Monetary and Macroprudential Policies Division of Monetary and Capital Markets Department at the IMF. His research covers market microstructure, bank risk taking, corporate governance, and various emerging markets' issues. He has published in the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Monetary Economics, the Review of Financial Studies, and the Journal of Banking and Finance. Mr. Brandao-Marques holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Rochester.
